Blowback my rear, this was always their scandal.
I have a hunch that the real blowback they fear is loss of income from Russia Inc. If any party or party officials have been getting money from Russia Inc., it has been the Democrats. Leftist groups have been getting money from mother Russia for decades. Putting sanctions on Russia was not a very bright thing for the Democrats to do. Of course, being law breakers by heart, they will find a way around the sanctions.
