They neglected to take "proper" grammar into account.

It should have been called "Don't nobody kill nobody weekend".

Let me see.....
10 commandments (thou shalt not kill) doesn’t work.
State and Federal laws against murder don’t work.

I have an idea, lets have an “activist” ask our inner city thugs to be kind and not kill somebody....

Great

Exactly. It was a lack of proper communications. If you are going to use the right language to communicate with these thugs it has to be Ebonics.

Reminds me of the Dreamland BBQ motto - ain't nowhere nuthin’ like ‘em.

Everyone has their own Baltimore (B'mo?) Surprisingly, mine has become Madison WI, of late. When I last lived there, 22 years ago, there would be sometimes 1-2 homicides a year, but then several year runs of no homicides, and very few heroin overdose deaths. This year, they are up to 11 homicides, and the last overdose data was 75 fatalities in the five years ending in 2015.

I was a college classmate of the guy who is now police chief there. He was selected several years ago when the safe money was on a minority or lesbian candidate (he overcame the handicap of being white, male and straight to get the job.) He was at an age when most high ranking officers would have taken retirement and just laid back. Right now, I'm thinking he wishes he had. An epidemic of crime by hyper violent urban minorities and drug dealers has really rocked that city. Fighting crime there, in a delusional community that cannot recognize the fundamental problem, must be very frustrating.
