After Six Months, A Shocking Clarity
American Thinker ^ | 08/06/17 | James G. Wiles

Posted on 08/07/2017 8:33:05 AM PDT by Enlightened1

Perhaps one James Woods said it best on Twitter (@realjameswoods) over the weekend: "I've never witnessed such hatred for a man who is willing to work for free to make his beloved country a better place. It is pathological."

Mr. Woods did not exaggerate. The last time the United States saw such a wholesale refusal to accept the result of a national election – and to overturn it – the year was 1861.

As the Trump administration moves past its 200th day in office, we have arrived at a moment of extreme clarity. It is even – even by the standards of Watergate (which did not start, remember, until President Richard Nixon's second term) – unprecedented in the history of the American Republic.

Just consider what we've learned since January 20 – and especially in the last two weeks.

1. Persons holding top positions in our national government (including its national security apparatus) are seeking to force the removal of an American president lawfully elected less than a year ago. To achieve that goal, they have shown themselves willing to compromise the national security of the United States, including the conduct of its foreign affairs, and to commit serious felonies.

2. The MSM has united with these criminals (that is what the leakers of classified information are) in seeking to achieve this goal. In particular, they are willing to facilitate achieving their objective by publishing information they know has been leaked to them in violation of federal law.

3. Democratic elected officials, at all levels of federal, state, and local government, oppose all aspects of the president's agenda, upon which he was elected, and vigorously seek to block its implementation. They have made no secret (thank you, Maxine Waters).....

Some people here think I’m crazy, but I think President Trump and AG Sessions are playing these fish. The Deep State is pulling out all the stops and committing felonies. Trump is keep the line loose and letting these guys run with it, until the right moment. When the DOJ changes direction (and I think it’s coming soon) then these Deep State actors will find that they have nowhere to run.

Swamp will drain faster than anyone expects.

“Democratic elected officials” should say Democrat elected officials...

why do people keep using an adjective form of the word instead of noun when they mean Democrat party people.

Nobody says Republicanian elected officials, or such, just Republican - same goes for just Democrat otherwise they are twisting meanings of what they wrote.

Abe Lincoln & Donald J. Trump...one and the same. The South and its slavery was dying both politically and economically, as is the current Democrat Party. Slavery and failure to join the growing industrial revolution, killed the Confederacy. Socialism and Progressive politics is killing the current Democrat Party. End of story.

I don’t think there’s any doubt about what you’re saying. Trump is calm and collected as a guy sipping Mai Tais in Jamaica. It’s like he has all the confidence in the world, and knows the outcomes he wants. He has the strongest country on the planet, and he knows everyone knows it. He holds the cards.

Perhaps it is not hatred, but fear.

Fear he will have swamp creatures marching off to jail and institute reforms they’ll not recover from for decades.

It is a struggle over who controls the government of the United States....

Here is the full list from the link,

Just consider what we’ve learned since January 20 – and especially in the last two weeks.

3. Democratic elected officials, at all levels of federal, state, and local government, oppose all aspects of the president’s agenda, upon which he was elected, and vigorously seek to block its implementation. They have made no secret (thank you, Maxine Waters) that, if given control of Congress again, they will impeach and remove the president and, possibly, the vice president.

4. In a return to the days of the George W. Bush administration, the left is using “lawfare” (litigation for its own sake) to obstruct or defeat implementation of the president’s agenda, upon which he was elected. A blog, Lawfareblog.com, offers daily info. Another blog, The Intercept, promotes leaks of classified and other information.

5. For the first time since the Vietnam War years, there is a national mobilization – calling itself the Resistance – that can put people onto the streets and, occasionally, is willing to use mob violence in furtherance of its goals of ousting this president and stifling free speech. Democratic elected officials have tolerated that violence.

6. Some Republicans in Congress have joined the Resistance. Many more, even where they deplore the Resistance, openly (or privately) oppose this president’s announced agenda, upon which he was elected.

7. Some Republicans in the Senate and the House who, for the last seven years, voted to repeal Obamacare, in fact, have refused to repeal it now that a Republican president is in the White House who would sign such a repeal.

8. Prominent conservative media outlets and opinion leaders, such as Erick Erickson of theresurgent.com, redstate.com, the National Review and Bill Kristol’s Weekly Standard, oppose this president, hope for his removal or resignation from office and are, moreover, prepared to defend these national security breaches (which are occurring in an attempt to achieve that goal) as regrettable but necessary and to praise those who commit them.

In a signed editorial, Stephen Hayes of the Weekly Standard wrote on Friday (emphasis added):

Short-lived White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci was an utterly forgettable political hack. But he said one thing before he was dismissed that’s worth reflecting on: “There are people inside the administration that think it is their job to save America from this president. Okay?” Scaramucci was right about that. We know these people, and we admire them. We wish them every success.

9. Former Bush speech writer David Frum, writing in the Atlantic this week, both deplored and rationalized the leak of transcripts of presidential phone calls to foreign leaders. Yes, he said, it’s illegal and compromises national security. But it’s really Trump’s fault for making such breaches necessary.

Frum said (emphasis added):

The risk of national-security establishment overreach looms even larger. The temptation is obvious: Senior national-security professionals regard Trump as something between (at best) a reckless incompetent doofus and (at worst) an outright Russian espionage asset. The fear that a Russian mole has burrowed into the Oval Office may justify, to some, the most extreme actions against that suspected mole.

The nature of this particular leak suggests just such a national-security establishment origin.

10. It is quite obvious, in short, that the president of the United States has good reason to believe that he is, literally, being spied on in his own White House, by members of his own staff and by others elsewhere in the Executive Branch – especially including the national security apparatus. And, furthermore, that his most confidential communications are not secure.

11. This exceeds, by some orders of magnitude, the national security threat faced by President Richard Nixon and national security adviser Henry Kissinger within the Nixon White House in 1970 and 1971.

What needs to be focused on, is not that the Left are poor losers. What is really the point is their complete & utter hatred for almost everything about the American tradition. We must never close our eyes to the implications. The reality is that we dare not ever let them achieve their ever increasingly apparent goals.

What Drives The Trump Haters

"....why do people keep using an adjective form of the word instead of noun when they mean Democrat party people...."

You forgot to capitalize the word "why" at the beginning of your sentence and you failed to end the interrogatory statement with a question mark.

I'm just saying....

Think about the motivations involved with politics.

President Trump’s election was a political activity.

He was elected to a job.

He is in charge of the Executive Branch of the federal government.

In your daily life, how do you interact with the Federal government?

Why is sabotaging President Trump so important to the Democrats?

I think President Trump and AG Sessions are playing these fish.

I hope you are right. Many are quite worried that the Trump Administration is in the fish net. The patience and discipline of President Trump is amazing. If he can pull it off and turn the tide as the Swamp is flushed,it will be pure genius.

On a side note,I am utterly amazed at President Trump's dedication to our country. Most people would never takes this job on with a status of Trump. He loves his country as most Americans do unless they live in the Swamp or a product of the Swamp.

I am with you. Trump has seen more govt. interference and abuse than most private citizens even can imagine as a private developer and businessman. He knows more tax law than most since he is very wealthy and has to sign his tax return and somewhat understand it. He knows what the middle class has to deal with and most of that is just working their tails off and paying taxes to many levels of government. One day the swamp has to be drained as it is now overflowing with giveaways it cannot afford now and in the long run.

I think taking away the hefty retirement packages for those who commit felonies and having no administrative leave for those who are caught red handed will help drain the swamp of those who are just evil towards any changes that a majority want as it is all about them. Good, Goodbye!! I am tired of government workers who waste our precious time demanding some type of permit or license and then when the lines are long, it’s their lunch or break time! Get a real job and you’ll miss your cushioned one on our backs.

Ready for that giant sucking sound of swamp draining. MAGA!

They want to ruin President Trump Politically, Personally, Financially and even his Reputation as a hard working driven person who succeeded in Life.

I never see ANY positive Reporting of the President in the Mainstream DNC Media that most of the American Population turn to get their News, NONE.

As an aside, I had a bunch of stuff DVR’d that I was going through, back to last November. The lead ins to the Local News were on the Recordings and I noticed the breathless Reporting of accusations against President Trump that turned out later to be completely false.

The one that comes to mind is the WP Reporting that the President revealed Classified Information to the Russians in an Oval Office Meeting. That was the issue to banning Laptops on International Flights. It was made to sound like the President gave the Norks a working Atom Bomb.

Looking back on things that we know were false at the time and realizing that the same energy isn’t made by the Media to walk back all these sensationalist LIES makes me realize how there is a conspiracy by the Left to create raw hatred for the President and his Supporters. Goebbels lives...

They want to ruin his Family Members and anyone who had the gall to Support him and Vote him into Office. They go so far as to wish death upon those they disagree with.

Like I said a long time ago, Donald Trump made his Money and went to Washington D.C. The Clintons and the Obama’s came to Washington D.C. and made their Money.

President Trump has more to lose than Political power by being elected POTUS. Liberals argue that Trump just wanted power, like he wasn’t already a powerful person in his Private Life. Democrats only exist to gain Power so they actually believe the same of Trump, classic projection.

The government needs to be flushed out from top to bottom

AT MINIMuM a 10% reduction in the total work force.

Start with the die-hard libtards, who abuse their power to advance an agenda when the government is supposed to work in a non-partisan manner for everyone.

This is a lovely thought but what evidence is there?

That you George? Just wondering, because it sounds like something he'd say on his show, badgering a conservative.

ClearCase_guy said "I think". It's a thought, a hunch, a belief, to which he has every right to hold. You, evidently, based on your question, choose not to believe - that's fine. It's a thought, a hunch, a belief.

Unless he is in the inner sanctum of the Trump Administration or the Justice Department, ClearCase_guy doesn't have any evidence to satisfy your negative question - and even if he did, he certainly wouldn't put it down here on a public forum.

So...let's turn it around: what evidence do YOU have that it isn't occurring? Would the Administration or the Justice Department be making their plans or their deliberations publicly known? Does that sound like a good strategy?
