Former Vice President Al Gore’s new film, “An Inconvenient Sequel”, came in a dismal 15th this weekend at U.S. theaters, according to Box Office Mojo. Gore’s defenders have been quick to blame Paramount Pictures for the dismal performance of Gore’s sequel. “Al Gore Gets Ripped Off Again,” screamed the headline of D.R. Tucker in Washington Monthly.View post “This was not supposed to happen,” Tucker wrote, adding, “he should have demanded a recount.”

“Sadly, the box-office under-performance of An Inconvenient Sequel will be seized upon by climate-change deniers as ‘proof’ that Americans don’t really care about this issue,” Tucker wrote.

The box office performance will disappoint Gore, who had urged his followers to pack movie theaters to send a message to “Trump and the other climate deniers.”

It was only shown in 180 screens and had a higher per average gross than anything besides Dark Tower. Just the truth. I’m not sure how this guy thought it would make more.

God's Not Dead
http://www.boxofficemojo.com/movies/?id=godsnotdead.htm

Opening weekend God's Not Dead ranked #4 and brought in $9,217,013 ...
Compared to Al Gore's $124,823 at #15 ...

Guess we have far more faith in God than Al Gore

“30,000 is still a surprisingly small number”

What number would be “un-suprising”?

Considering they cover an area from Alaska north to the North Pole and then across all of Canada, I think over to Greenland, I would have thought there were maybe 100,000 or more of them. The town I grew up in had 30,000 people. If that was all the people on Earth, I would feel like we need to be careful. I am thinking in terms of genetic diversity and risk to the species, not historic numbers or optimum levels. It is good that the numbers have gone up significantly. And it won’t be the end of the world if all polar bears died off; grizzlies would move into that niche, and they would, once again, develop into polar bears. But as I said, I was surprised that the number is that low. If you were not surprised, then bully for you.

What was supposed to happen was the military taking whatever steps necessary to prevent a confirmed traitor from taking power when it became obvious you were seriously about to be a Presidential candidate. But they didn’t, and while you lost the election Obama didn’t.
