As previously suggested, we need to see a transparent weekly billing of Mueller’s expenditures, signed off by colluder RosenKrantz.
Trump appears to also utilize “the velvet glove” as a way to disarm competitors/enemies/opponents. He’s cordial, low-key and able to present as conciliatory while massing firepower on the flanks and in the rear of massed opposition.
Am I nervous about all the reports concerning McMasters, Mueller and the rest? Yes. I don’t see Donald Trump as a victim and neither does Donald. I think the tactics we see might be masking the strategy we don’t.
Those who talk don’t know and those who know parse their words closely. We’ll all just need to wait and see how it plays out. There’s way too much breathlessness on both sides with no real resolution in sight.
I do think the renovations at the White House are important. I think it’s telling Trump hasn’t been back to NYC/Trump Tower since January (IIRC....could have missed it). I think he’s at Bedminister because it’s summer and Mar-A-Lago is usually closed during the hot months. I doubt it’s a vacation-vacation, though. Can’t see Trump taking time off, especially as the rumors swirl.
