How have you been forced to buy Chinese crap? You can cut your own trade with China anytime you wish.
There are certain car parts only made in China. I think all flat screens are Made in China. There are many many other products like that. A simple tariff of 10% would solve the problem. You could have your trade with the Communists you love so much and the USA could protect its workforce from competing with third world labor.
