I’m not so sure that one was any better. The street was basically empty behind the guy. If he was scared, he could have simply turned around and gone in the opposite direction.
Watch the video again. He is driving in slow speed, a guy on the left hits the side of his car with a baseball bat and he seems to panic and drive into the crowd.
Turned around ? In what direction ? Looks like a mass of people on both sides . A u-turn ? Doubtful for the same reason.
