President Donald Trump responded to two days’ worth of criticism on Monday by criticizing the white supremacist groups involved in the Charlottesville violence on Saturday explicitly in a statement from the White House. But Trump’s condemnation did not satisfy the mainstream media, some of whom rushed to criticize Trump for not delivering that explicit condemnation as quickly or as passionately as they believe he ought to have done.
Trump said: “Racism is evil. And those who cause violence in its name are criminals and thugs, including the KKK, Neo-Nazis, White Supremacists, and other hate groups that are repugnant to everything we hold dear as Americans.”
CNN’s Jim Acosta, who was present, shouted a question at the president after he finished his statement: “Do you regret not mentioning the white supremacists on Saturday?” He later took to Twitter to complain that Trump had not answered questions.

I think he did respond, thought I heard him say after he pointed his finger at Acosta or whoever and said “you are fake news”. I really thought I heard that at the end when he was walking out of the press conference

Trump should call their bluff, tell the media he will seek to ban any group that at anytime advocates white identity politics.

The Charlottsville riot was a set-up and everyone has fallen for it. People protesting the removal of a statue of Robert E. Lee and that had a permit to be there were set upon by bused-in ‘activists’ who attacked the legitimate protestors, who fought back.
The media has it all wrapped up in a neat package for public consumption: white supremacists attacked little lambs such as the BLM crowd and killed an innocent woman...and Trump doesn’t condemn them forcefully enough, proving he’s on the side of violent racists.
Total BS and frustrating to see even FNC buy into the con.
Obama hasn’t condemned it at all. Neither has Hillary. A couple of racists.
Trump was dumb to do it, to cave to their initial demands.
He should know that if you throw some red meat to a hungry lion he’s only going to come after you for more.

If Trump were passing out free gold bars on the street the media would bitch about how heavy the bars are.
Trump needs to go back to his original advisors or his gut instinct. He said the EXACT right thing initially. This would have blown over because his base had his back. THEN he succumbed to media pressure. Anything he says or does is never going to be enough.
He ignored his instincts and succumbed to his daughter.
I’m sure Lizzy Warren will be on TV denouncing “Black Lives Matter”’s racism very soon.
