Nearly nine months after the conclusion of the 2016 general election and despite months of hesitation, Republican Sen. Dean Heller has finally confirmed that he voted for Donald Trump for president.

In a short statement released to The Nevada Independent, Heller — who is up for reelection in 2018 and is being challenged in a primary by businessman Danny Tarkanian — confirmed that he indeed voted for the Republican nominee during the 2016 election after more than a year of vocal criticism toward the party’s nominee.

“Yes, I voted for Donald Trump,” he said in a statement texted to a reporter.

Will Trump endorse him as well in the primary? Like Sen Strange yet again today.

I sure hope Trump does NOT endorse Heller. No way, even with that endorsement, will Heller win reelection. He’s toast.

Trump must think he can flip Strange. And he needs something to say something positive about the GOP Senate while he applies a political 2x4 upside McConnell’s head.

I’m hoping Niger Innis primaries Heller. Tired of the Tarkanian dog and pony show.

Haven’t seen one yet. Really hate if we are stuck not voting or even voting for a Democrat to show our displeasure in Heller.

This shows that the GOPe fully realize the real strength is in running with Trump and that those running away from him are toast. We’re seeing the same thing in Alabama where Strange has gone all in for Trump once Brooks showed signs of passing him into 2nd place.

The only one running away from Trump is Flake. And he’s now at like 18% in the polls. And dropping.

Why not. He tripled down on the Strange one.
2 endorsements and a robocall recording.

Strange is because Trump still needs McConnell to get his agenda done. He needs to get some promises from McConnell before doing his bidding on these things. Strange has voted with Trump on everything so far, but he is a risk of flipping whereas the other candidates are not. I really hope he loses, either now or in the runoff, because it will be on McConnell, not Trump.

Joe Hellers vot counted as much as mine. Trump lost Nevada. He owes him nothing. Heller can save face by running for Governor.

Heller voted for Rubio’s amnesty bill.

Corker, Hatch, Heller and Flake all did and they are all up in 2018.

They must be removed from office before they succeed in abandoning the rule of law and surrendering the country.

Graham and Alexander in 2020

Murkowsky, Hoeven and Rubio in 2022

Failure to remove them will result in the loss of our country.

Some bad poll numbers must be coming in to the Heller campaign.

Heard Heller on Hewitt, pretending to have principles which precluded his making his vote public. Right. That was before he had a primary opponent.

Pro-Obamacare Dean Heller has been weighed in the balance and found wanting. Sink the punk in the primary, Nevadans.
