I don’t remember that, I’ve been here since 2003, when was that? There is an effort here to not allow any negative news. That kinda defeats the purpose of the discussion forum. These people think FReepers will get discouraged.

Drudge was turned—presumably threatened with some sort of outing or worse.

It is horrific to see.

We know that Kushner, for example, asked him not to have McMaster stories up where Trump might see them. But I think it is even worse than that Alex Jones has talked about getting multiple threats and bribe offers of late—and I assume the same have been extended to Drudge. Jones has turned down the offers and ignored the threats, apparently.

Because it has been on DRUDGE for a while.

Obviously you have no idea HOW that site works.

Do you only read what's on the top of DRUDGE? More fool you!

It was a few years before your signup.

IIRC it was late '99 and again in very early 2000...but the latter date may be off. There were TWO episodes and both were SO bad, that Drudge removed the link to FR, then put it back, then removed it again, and did NOT return the link on his page for quite some time.

Sadly there are some "peculiar" posters here and that's all I'll say about that. ;^)

I sent him a tweet today, blasting his priority of putting Steve Bannon crap as his main headline all day, while a major terrorist attack had taken place.

Now his main headline is spot on in regards to the terrorist attack.

Maybe he does listen to his viewers.

And that is the main difference between Liberty Daily and Drudge. Liberty Daily has it as the headline. Drudge has it as a link ( not even in red to highlight it ) buried in the third column.

Not log crawling, just multi-tasking and didn’t scour drudge’s page.

I haven’t been to Drudge’s site since last Saturday either, after that stupid “Make America Hate Again” comment.

I used to go to his site four times a day.

Haven’t gone in a week, and I won’t be back.

His constant refreshing was annoying as hell, too.

You're welcome.

There's a LOT of FR history that more posters SHOULD be made aware of. The site has gone through a number of permutations, some of which, you were here for.

This is really sad.

In 1998, right after Drudge broke the story about the stained blue dress, I saw a link on his webpage.

The link said: FreeRepublic.com.

I clicked the link, saw the great postings, and joined this website. (It went something like that anyway - my memory is not so good these days.)

For the last few months, I have noticed Drudge posting many MSM articles.

I haven’t visited his site in weeks.

The end of an era, I guess. Very sad.

The devil doesn’t show up at your door in a red suit with horns and a pitchfork.

In my opinion Drudge has absolutely started the subtle turn to the dark side.

Don’t Drudge judge me.
It never had the billing it should have.
But M Moore and Algore are right up there.
