LS was listening to Bannon directly, and my feelings are that Bannon’s overconfidence was only matched by his apathy towards the real problems, despite the “I’m so focused on the agenda” propaganda.

The second I heard the statement about no military solution to NK I figured he was a goner.

Anyone who understands anything about nuclear deterrence knows you cannot have that kind of stuff going around. Our posture was "locked and loaded" and "fire and fury," not "we've got nothing, let's talk about it."

Nuclear deterence is a deep and very complicated subject. For professionals on the subject it starts with Thomas Schelling, Arms and Influence:

I for one, knew at some point soon he would, not because “Kushner wants him out” or “McMaster pushed him out” but because of who Steve is. But, honestly, why bother telling you?
