I had a friend, whose family came from England after WWII. My friend had a purebred male Black Labrador Retriever. She had a very biting sense of humour and called the dog ‘Toby’.
She named the dog ‘Toby’ in honour of her two aunts who had travelled to Africa and married Black men. After these men got to Canada, both left, leaving their wives with mulatto kids and no support. The good news is that both women worked as teachers, so they were well paid. Their kids were/are left-wing messes.
