Over half of my reenacting group are military veterans as I am. Of the other half most are paramedics, police and fire department employees.

Talking to others in other units, many tried to join the military but were rejected based on physical disabilities.

There are many wannabee’s in the hobby but don’t paint with too broad a brush.

Regardless, when this unit's time came to stand up and be counted, they chose to do nothing.
