Breyer simply ignores the pre-established right to bear arms that the colonists, as English citizens, had enjoyed long before the Constitution, as well as the natural right that had long been recognized by philosophers even before the English law codified it.

With all due respect Bryer is not ignoring anything. He's not “incorrect”, “mistaken”, or anything similar. He's lying, willfully, with full knowledge of the truth, because the truth is blindingly obvious. Further, it's equally obvious that he knows the truth, because he skirts it so completely. The more important question is what is his motivation for lying?
