If youre waiting for the administration to replace the Affordable Care Act, you should pray that you wont need an ambulance.
If you do call the 911 emergency services, then youll be waiting longer than you would have before President Obamas signature healthcare reform was implemented.
How much longer? On average, close to 20 percent more, according to new research from the National Bureau of Economic Research.

We live 5 miles from Hospital, Needed ambulance for my son.
45 minutes later they arrived from a city 30 miles away...
2 miles away is a fire station and ambulance but they changed up stations???? The driver asked to to go along and give hime the quickest route......Thanks Obama
This is one of a thousand predictable results of forced centralization by Fed.gov and the corrupt political and business cronies they are in bed with.
So get up get, get get down
911 is a joke in yo town
Thistledown racing was cancelled today because the jockeys refused to race. This morning there was an accident and it took 45 minutes for an ambulance to get there.
No health care but at least they have insurance.
Working just as intended.
Exactly the same happened to hubby. I called dispatch twice to tell them to bring the ambulance from right up the street but noooo. Of course, going to the hospital they wanted, we drove right past the nearby ambulance and clinic. The fire department got there first but did nothing. Despite us standing in the middle of the road waving them down, they turned and went the opposite direction claiming they were following their GPS.
It’s the thought that counts! /sarc
A co-workers brother and sister in law were on vacation in St George, Utah a couple of weeks ago. She choked on a piece of candy, the husband tried the Heimlich without success. when the ambulance arrived 25 minutes later, she was dead.....
always get in the car and drive to the hospital yourself.
oh, my. VERY SAD
We came upon a really bad accident Saturday afternoon. We were the 3rd car to stop & help. An older man who saw it happen called 911. 20 minutes later an ambulance came. Two people were in obvious shock, one head trauma & one driver had broken, we believe, both legs. We were all horrified at the long wait. If someone had had a life threatening injury I don’t know if they would have made it.
The other weird thing we noticed is that the EMT’s all seemed really overweight & out of shape. One older woman got out & just stood there. She was huge & old.
I can’t remember where I got this but...enjoy!
A woman from Los Angeles, who was a tree hugger, a liberal Democrat, and an anti-hunter, purchased a piece of timberland near Colville, WA. There was a large tree on one of the highest points in the tract. She wanted a good view of the natural splendor of her land so she started to climb the big tree. As she neared the top she encountered a spotted owl that attacked her.
In her haste to escape, the woman slid down the tree to the ground and got many splinters in her crotch.
In considerable pain, she hurried to a local ER to see a doctor. She told him she was an environmentalist, a Democrat, and an anti-hunter and how she came to get all the splinters.
The doctor listened to her story with great patience and then told her to go wait in the examining room and he would see if he could help her.
She sat and waited three hours before the doctor reappeared.
The angry woman demanded, “What took you so long?”
He smiled and then told her, “Well, I had to get permits from the Environmental Protection Agency, the Forest Service, and the Bureau of Land Management before I could remove old-growth timber from a “recreational area” so close to a waste treatment facility.
I’m sorry, but due to Obama-Care...they turned you down.
Local hospital has an advertisement for it’s ER wait time. 44 minutes was on it last I passed. Forty four no lie. The giftees getting.
The results of a delayed dispatch to my neighbor's acute distress convinced me. The ambulance took a half-hour to drive three miles, and the driver drove past the address. :( I should have driven my neighbor and perhaps met the ambulance en routeor arrived well ahead of that ride.
Noting the above, I drove myself the five miles to the nearest ER when suspecting a heart attack. The episode passed while filling out their paperwork, but they promptly trans-shipped me to a larger hospital, where I received a stent.
Now, if I should meet Dick Cheney... ;)
Obamacare is KILLING GRANDMA!
We live in S. MS - a hospital is about 10 minutes away. When my wife had her stroke and I called 911, an ambulance arrived in about 7 minutes. I see them staged around the area from time to time so they are generally strategically placed for decent coverage of the area. I wonder what the difference is other than local politics/policies.
