Does privilege include having the authority to take faculty away from teaching to be indoctrinated in a class on “privilege”?
Well in a technical sense, no but in reality yes.
We have an all day workshop tomorrow. From 0900 to 1400 we will discuss Outcomes Assessments, from 1400 to 1600 Diversity (Privilege). Classes begin on Tuesday so no actual class time has been taken away. However, I could have better used the time to prepare better lectures, quizzes, and so forth.
