The FBI’s July raid on former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort's Virginia home lasted 10 hours and involved a dozen federal agents, who seized documents labeled “attorney-client,” according to a source close to the investigation.

The July raid was first reported earlier this month, but the new details reflect the intensity and scope of the search, which the source described as “heavy-handed, designed to intimidate.” Elements of the account were backed up by a second individual also not authorized to speak on the record.

New details on FBI raid of Paul Manafort's home The FBI’s July raid on former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort's Virginia home lasted 10 hours and involved a dozen federal agents, who seized documents labeled “attorney-client,” according to a source close to the investigation.

The source said both Manafort and his wife were asleep when FBI agents entered the Alexandria, Va., condo without warning at about 6 a.m. ET. They did not conclude their search until late afternoon, around 4 p.m. ET. The 1,600-square-foot condo includes three bedrooms and a main living area. […]

“This is an unusual step; there is no getting around it,” former Justice Department official Tom Dupree told Fox News. “It is an aggressive step. I think it sends a very strong message both to Manafort himself and potentially other people who might be targets of this investigation that [Special Counsel Robert] Mueller is going to pursue this aggressively.” …

So it was an example of excessive force. And it was done at night and was a no knock, so they must have shown in the warrant evidence of manaforts propensity for violence?

There, fixed it.

I'm not a lawyer - does attorney-client privilege apply in this situation? Would it be legal to take these documents?

"Source close to the investigation" - who is leaking?

“Where were these jackboots for Hillary’s server or the DNC server.”

Until this question is asked loudly and publicly by the media and those in elected office, we continue to live in a nation that is but a far semblance of what America once was.

The Clintons, and a great number in the democratic party and ‘progressive left’ that have come after them, are much worse than common criminals, much worse than those who embezzle and steal, much worse than those who con and swindle. They are as narcissistic as Hitler, maybe more, and just as dangerous - or more so (because they're actually better at hiding their motivations and crimes against humanity). Their love for themselves and for their ‘legacy’ supersedes any principles they may have ever had.

Not unless they were raiding a lawyer’s office.

It's not for nothing they're known as the Federal Bureau of Intimidation (or, if you're from Waco, Incineration).

It's much easier to coerce a false confession (or rattle someone into making an off-the-cuff remark that liables them to later charges of a "process crime") if they're cowed.

That's why Japan and China have criminal prosecution conviction rates of so near 100%. Because they coerce a confession >90% of the time.

The Special Counsel has his own investigators and is not using active FBI agents as I understand it. Is that true?
