I support heterosexuality in the military as much as the next FReeper, but this was a gross breach of operational security.
All I know from experience is that the people who are effective in combat are often disciplinary problems in garrison. If you are ever in a position where you have to fight I suggest you cultivate friendships with the guys who get in trouble in town. The goody goodies will freeze and get you killed. If that upsets some of the self-righteous prigs well that’s just tough.
The moral busybodies will torment us forever.

Bottom Line, if he was a soldier being a solder, than it is on him. However, if the soldier was responding based on higher orders, it is on them.
