Organizers of two right-wing rallies scheduled for this weekend in San Francisco and Berkeley abruptly called off their events on Friday afternoon, after weeks of blowback from local residents and elected officials. But questions remained about whether protesters would show up anyway, and some local leaders said they still worried violence could erupt.
The anticlimactic turnaround started at 3 p.m. on Friday, when Joey Gibson, the founder of the conservative group Patriot Prayer and the organizer of a rally schedule for Saturday in San Francisco’s Crissy Field, started a Facebook Live broadcast to announce his event wouldn’t go forward. Gibson said that he believed that “tons of extremists” would be coming to his event and that it could become dangerous.

This is better. Antifa will still come out to start some crap and they’ll fight with Black Lives Matter and the people in the area have already seeded the spot with dog poop, so let those two groups fight it out with no right-wingers there.
Why announce when you are going to show up, take a page from the Left’s book and just show up!

I despise the media. Mercury News, Sacramento Bee, Seattle Post-Intelligencer, they are all suckbag left wing rags.
I would strongly suggest the the organizers of these "Free Speech" protests re-label them and themselves. Optics and narratives matter. Start with what we are against. That will restrict the MSM's efforts to define us. They should call themselves; AntiCom. Anti Communist !! They should also include Anti-KKK, Anti-Nazi, Anti-Racist, Anti-Socialism and Anti-PC. Then show the media and the libtards what we stand FOR; Free Speech, Liberty, The Constitution and the Individual.

Too bad, I was looking forward to attending and recording the event. I still might visit just to see who and what turns up.
Notice the Left never needs stinking permits, when they show up burn down the local Starbucks, attack ATM machines, smash windows at the near McDonalds and run rough shot in the streets with their so called rolling protests. Seems a permit is only a requirement, when Conservatives want to hold rallies.
At least once a month here in DC we have these rolling protest on Friday Nights, where the police are caught unaware, massive traffic jams, no one arrested or permits require & the elected officials (all Democrats)are eerily quite on the matter.
I don’t blame them, the police weren’t going to protect them.

Alternately, the article itself says that the commies might show up anyway. It’s almost a certainty that they’ll break things and beat people up with not a single “Nazi” in sight for the MSM to blame.

I am fb friends with one of the organizers. Hes saying they didnt cancel. I dont have enough details yet.
