Grab a tennis racket and smack the thing hard as it's flying around in the room. Knowing full well you've killed the thing, take it to the DNR and let them figure out whether the dead bat has rabies.
I am NOT going to try to capture a bat alive......ain't gonna happen.
As a kid, we’d try to kill bats with .410 shotguns. Got a few but not many. Most disappeared into the night.
