This article offers a good history of how the term "anti-fascist" was started by Stalin for propaganda purposes and has been used in a similar way ever since then.

Let’s call ‘em what they are: Anti-Americans! Anti-Captialists! If you want an “f” in there how about Anti-Freedoms? The Anti-Frees?

I have never called these idiots "anti-fascists", I call them what they are!!

"Antifa" doesn't stand for "ANTI-FAscist".

"Antifa" stands for ANTI-First Amendment Fascists!

Unless Antifas have built a time machine and transported themselves back to 1930's Italy, they'll have a hard time finding more than a dozen actual fascists to oppose.

"Fascist" has ceased to have any actual meaning these days besides "someone whose political views I don't like." Much as it did in the context of Communist propaganda.

If recent memory serves me correctly, the current group originally called themselves the "antifada" imitating the name of the middle eastern anti-Israeli group. They chose their clothing to appear similar to middle eastern terrorists like isis.

As usual, our presstitutes has chosen to call them "antifa" in their style guides and present them as "freedom fighters" instead of the home grown terrorists they are.

The historical reason for NEVER using the term “anti-fascist” is that is was the CODEWORD of leftist approval for pro-communist anti-Nazi resistance movements in WW2.

And anyone who also fought the Germans but was NOT a commie was, subsequently, smeared with the term “collaborator” after the commies took over.

(I should know, because I spent my childhood in one of those “socialist paradises” of Central Europe.)

Lots of normal, reasonable people oppose Donald Trump. Many of them oppose the border wall, too.

It's pretty hard for me to see how reasonable people can oppose a wall to slow down the invasion.

We have “anti-facists” just like Planned Parenthood has “anti-choice.”
