If memory serves correctly they were two mg42 teams but I don’t know if the men hailed from the southern part of the then Korea or instead the northern part.

i’ve read that the invasion beaches were defended by an amazingly diverse ethnic, national, and racial group of soldiers who were impressed into the Wehrmacht from all over the world because the nazi’s were so short of ethnic German men for such defensive positions.
