When we grew up and went to school, there were certain teachers who would hurt the children any way they could. By pouring their derision upon anything we did, exposing every weakness, however carefully hidden by the kid.

Where did you grow up? Uganda? All my teachers cared very much for their students..

There was one in particular at my school who was verbally abusive to students, a bully, I guess, and should have been fired decades ago but is now collecting his pension. Those kind of teachers are around. Not the norm, but shouldn’t be tolerated in my opinion.
