Off topic but my wife and I discovered a steamed artichoke recipe and I swear it is the best ever.
Got the steaming time down so prepping the heart is super easy.
In fact, we eat them for dinner occasionally now.
A little butter and mayo and ummm.
Only in California would this be a question.
Maybe in Oregon.
And Washington.

And every other state in the Union. No state is exempt from the vile madness.

How long do you steam them? I know it depends on their size.
I love artichokes.
Those would be the same “experts” that told us sex education for grammar school kids would reduce the STD/unwanted pregnancy rate!
These “experts” claimed that “They are going to do it, anyway, so WE NEED to show them how!”
How did that work out for We the People?
>>pushing the most restrictive gender stereotypes as the definition of the sex
That is brilliantly well thought out.
The individual who is gender confused should seek psychiatric medical help. Leave the healthy ones alone - young or old.
And, of course, these “experts” are themselves sexually confused to the max!
We have homosexuals teaching kids to be homosexual and transgenders teaching kids to be transgendered!
Are there any NORMAL people involved in teaching kids how to be NORMAL?
How did they define “gender norms” in order for elementary-schoolers to decide whether they “conform”? Did they give them a long list of interests, behaviors and tastes exclusively for the masculine gender and the same for the feminine gender? If so, it was probably out of date: the box you have to fit in to “conform” to your “gender” gets smaller every day.
(Or did they test the students on Latin or Greek declensions and discover that they don’t know “gender” from a hole in the head?)
You don’t have to be an expert to know that it’s easy to get 5-year-old kids to believe all kinds of crazy stuff. I recall one of my sons persuading his brother that he could fly. After the experiment, as James lay at the foot of the stairs gasping, “Can’t ... fly ....,” Pat looked over the ledge and said in his peculiar, tinny voice (he’s an alien), “How very strange. I was sure it would work.”
This would seem child abuse to me.
Another Reason to Homeschool
“NO!!”
That should be the only response.
Cut top 1/3 off with a serrated knife
Get rid of any tough looking leaves on the far outside.
Pull back the center leaves and add a ts worth of butter.
Add water up to the bottom of the steamer.
Add a diced clove of garlic, pat of butter, TS salt, ts pepper and 1 lemon squeeze to the water under the steamer.
Bring water to boil.
For an artichoke the size of a softball, 25 min upside down (stem up), flip for another 10 min.
Drawn butter is good, but I prefer mayo as I the skive the meat off the leaves using my lower teeth.
Start here, but recognize dialing the steam time is an exorcise in personal experience.
One last thing, get fresh artichokes - some stores may have them but they have been sitting there a while. Makes a big difference!
A big grocery story will have higher turnover (fresher artichokes), unless your lucky enough to live in an area where you can buy fresh from a roadside stand.
“Lactatia”?
But experts say kindergarten is a good time to start talking to kids about gender identity.
What experts might those be?
Experts in the destruction of Western Civilization
What they are doing to this boy is absolute child abuse.
