An anonymous strike from Mexico or a cargo ship off our coast negates the MAD theory we’ve relied on for 65 years.

Authorities check a fraction of the cargo containers moving through our ports, so it is highly likely that N Korea could move nuke components into the USA. Rather than detonate them on the ground, much more likely that they would elevate a nuke for an EMP effect, either by hot-air balloon or small plane. President Trump needs to eliminate the N Korea regime, sooner than later. An EMP strike will definitely cripple us.

The civilization- killing EMP model requires a detonation roughly 200-300 miles up in space.

An atmospheric nuclear burst (air balloon/airplane) is ‘just’ a moderate nuclear devastation.

The H-bomb need to explode exoatmospherically.

“Authorities check a fraction of the cargo containers moving through our ports, so it is highly likely that N Korea could move nuke components into the USA. “

Wrong conclusion, and ignorant of our nuclear detection systems, not to mention ignorant of nuclear materials, which can track any and all nuclear materials. We don’t need to physically inspect each container to know if any particular container has nuclear materials in it.

To get a widespread EMP, you need to be in the 100-200 mile altitude range. A missile is required. The stuff you’re describing wouldn’t get there.
