I’m not poo pooing this but on all forecasts, including accuweather, whom i respect the most, know they WANT the storm to hit, so there is that bias...also as storms strengthen, they nearly always weaken in last 100 miles due to outer bands hitting barrier islands.

Accuweather uses the same information/data as the National Weather Service. They may interrupt it slightly different, but it is almost always the same. The temperature may be a few degrees one way or the other. The rain may stop at 1 pm instead of noon, but is basically the same.
Currently, it shows Irma hitting us. But, I will be surprised if there are not other tracks before it gets here,there usually are.

Just like any local weather guy / gal with the tornado thing. It really gets (most) of them going.
