If you put Sacramento, SF and LA in separate states the population will dominate that state and you will have more democrats in the senate.

What if out of state retired relatives of Californians moved in with their California family members and registered to vote in California part of the year? Many people from the north have winter homes in Florida. If they want to they can vote in Florida so why can’t people move to California during the winter months and register to vote in California?

Moving in with California family members would help them out with their expenses and high California taxes and would get more conservative voters to California.
