Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) praised President Trump’s decision to rescind President Obama's Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, calling it a move that “corrects that fundamental mistake.”
“President Obama wrongly believed he had the authority to re-write our immigration law,” McConnell said in a statement Tuesday. “Today’s action by President Trump corrects that fundamental mistake.”

This will be one time when I’ll be happy to have McDonnell be his “old self” and GET NOTHING DONE WHEN IT COMES TO LEGALIZING DACA. Let’s have NO AMNESTY — in ANY form!

No, McConnell wants credit for CONGRESSIONAL Amnesty. He’s just ticked that Obama beat him to it by Executive Order. With Trump rescinding that order, McConnell thinks he can reclaim amnesty.

Well if Trump is so praise worthy why doesn’t he get off his ensconced a$$ and do something that would motivate the President to respond in-kind?
I’m no convinced his old self every approved of locked down borders though. He may be very supportive of Congressional action on this. He just didn’t think Obama had the right to do it unilaterally.

No. He must intend to run again. Kentucky would clean his clock on this one. Illegal immigration is not popular in kentucky.

McConnell has an eye on the Alabama senatorial race, otherwise, he would not have said that.
I'm surprised by this too. I thought that quite recently McConnell was chiming in with Paul Ryan in support of DACA.
