Boeing Co. and Airbus SE voiced concerns about a proposed tie-up of two leading suppliers Tuesday, potentially upsetting United Technologies Corp.s $23 billion acquisition of Rockwell Collins Inc.
The worlds largest planemakers added to the chorus of skeptics of a deal that would create an aerospace behemoth with a range of products to outfit jetliners and warplanes. Investors sent United Technologies shares plunging by the most in two years, while credit ratings companies said the manufacturer risks downgrades. Boeing, which has been squeezing suppliers for discounts, warned it would take action to protect itself if it saw the merger as harming its business...

Worked on Rockwell Collins HF radios for years during and after my time in the Navy. RT-618/ARC-94 HF AM/SSB transceiver and its components. Given the equipment and the manuals, I think I could still tune one up.
My uncle was an engineer at North American Aviation then Rockwell then Boeing before retiring after 50 years. He and others were brought back for about 2 years when it was Pratt & Whitney to investigate the space shuttle loss. The same job just different owners over the decades. He worked in Downey, CA (by Los Angeles). He worked on many different types of aircraft then the space shuttle.
