Hurricane Irma – a Category 5 hurricane – is barreling closer towards Florida’s southern coast. But before it makes landfall this weekend, the storm has been pummeling the Caribbean with gale-force winds, sheets of rain and widespread destruction.
One of the causalities has been President Donald Trump’s vacation home, Le Chateau des Palmiers on the island of St. Martin.

In a disaster, insurance is paying maximum of only 25% at least in TEXAS. The companies never mention this caveat. According to one Harvey victim who suffered a total loss on her million dollar residence, she was shocked to learn this news.
FEMA and flood specific insurers have their own limits for a catastrophe.
Trump may lead on this question.. and rethink beach front rebuilding, given the equally catastrophic impact on tax payers, through federal replacement of beachfront private property.
Cities are one thing, but these hurricanes are regular cyclical disasters hitting enormous ground and hundreds of thousands of people. Just a thought.

Well, in a way since Richard Branson’s island was hit.
Most insurance companies are some of the biggest crooks in the U.S.
Any any event, it’s of little concern to Trump. He could buy the island and turn it into a golf course if he wanted.
Just curious, what to thousands do with only 25% of what their house was worth? Buy a home worth 75% less than their previous home? ☺
