The Bergen Record today, one of NJ’s biggest papers, had an editorial stressing that Menendez is innocent until proven guilty. If he’s found not guilty,they said, he will be fully vindicated and he, Menendez!, should be put in charge of legislative changes to prevent future prosecutions of congressmen who accept extravagant gifts from those seeking political favors.
If he’s found guilty, it will be a victory for the dark forces of trumpism and racism and will mean the end of Obamacare and all things good and just.
Best of all, the editorial was written by Bob Torricelli, maybe the most corrupt Democratic senator in the history of NJ, with no mention of how he was forced to resign in disgrace to avoid prosecution for corruption.
That’s not considered relevant to NJ media, in their death throes.
