Blue State Blues: The Week Donald Trump Restored the Republic
Breitbart ^ | September 8, 2018 | Joel Pollak

(snip)

On substance, Trump has a long way to go before implementing the kinds of policies that would fulfill the promises he made to his supporters, and fulfill the dreams of conservatives who hardly dared to imagine, a year ago, that they would control all three branches of government.

But Trump has done more than conservatives dreamed possible to make our constitutional system of limited, divided, yet responsive government work as it was designed once again.

The article ends with:

"Amidst all the worrying about how divided our country is, a new feeling is beginning to emerge, a sense of a society and a government that are actually working. Some of that is due simply to the resilience and decency of ordinary Americans, on full display in Texas.

But some of that is because of Trump. How ironic that the great “disruptor” of our political system is turning out to be the leader who is restoring it — and, soon, public faith in it."

Pretty optimistic about Trump's leadership. I am, as well.

Hasn’t he already backtracked on DACA?

Won’t be sure about DACA until the 6 months are up - the Congress has a chance to do something positive but will probably continue trying to screw him and the People with him. Lots of folks jumping the shark over Trump’s ‘deal with Dems” because that’s what shark-jumpers do.....

Amnesty (DACA, etc) will destroy our Constitutional Republic...and not unlike what we’re seeing the Muzzoids do in Europe.

“The leader of an immigration watchdog says President Donald Trump has stabbed his supporters in the back by cooperating with liberal Democrats to pass an amnesty bill for DACA holders.”

“Because if that amnesty passes,” warns Gheen, “it will destroy the United States of America.”

Trump campaigned on, and promised to repeal DACA on his first day in office.

Some may consider what we have a "backtrack".

Created by an Executive Order, DACA “could” be quickly made null and void by the same mechanism.

However, Trump is giving Congress a chance to atone for past laziness by writting and passing their own bill. His gesture to Congress should but probably won’t earn him some respect from the grandees.

If you like your DACA you can keep your DACA, he told them.

And had he done so, this crap would have long been a thing of the past.
