Not surprising. I recall reading in Bernard Goldberg’s book “Bias” in which he discusses Fidel’s meeting with The Dan back sometime in the 1990s. Dan gave him a personal tour of CBS’ executive offices in New York and got all palsy walsy with him like a long lost brother and gave him an autographed baseball bat. This was one of the more creepier parts of the book, IMHO.

And CBS’s lying, commie-hugging Walter Cronkite, too.

Good old Uncle Walter hosting CBS Nightly News, who lied about the Vietnam Tet Offensive (that was succeeding) in support of the commies here, feeding the commie-led, anti-war college minions that created the quagmire that killed so many American young men. My dad liked him, was totally fooled by him, would never have believed a guy like Cronkite could be an anti-American subversive (i.e. progressive).
