I’m really concerned about Siesta Key to Anna Maria Island.

I’ve spent a lot of time on them and love them but they have NO protection at all.

Very low and not very wide at most points.

The currant storm surge forecast models show the ENTIRE area inundated, Siesta Key, Longboat Key, and Anna Maria Island.

I don’t know who they are going to survive this if the islands even exist any more. I really hate to say that but the wave action on top of the storm surge is going to be unfathomable.

Best guess, peak surge happens from Layton Key, over to points west. east of layton, it won’t drop off supper quick, it, tapers down over many eye diameters.

How about 2-3 miles east of I75 in Sarasota? That's where I'm at.

I keep hearing about Naples, and then Tampa Bay but they gloss right over Sarasota/Bradenton. Are they implying Sarasota/Bradenton will be spared?
