Nope...that just plays into Democrat hands, since all of the money and half of the votes (the less-informed voters) will stay with the old party either because they dont like Trump or because theyll fall for the media savaging of Trumps new party (loaded up with KKK/Nazi types, etc.). So we split down the middle and the Dems take full control of the country, as they did in 1992 when Perot pulled a huge number of Republicans away from Bush.
I have to respectfully disagree. These are much different times than Ross Perot who I also supported - we have an extremely angry conservative base. My logic is what Billy Cunningham has been spouting as of late: Trump runs as I and might get 40% of his very loyal base; the R and the D split the remaining 60%. Trump wins.

Would be nice...but we’ll have to disagree...for now.
Now if Trump got his numbers up to say 60% support, then yes, he’d have a shot as an independent. But for now, there’s simply too many Republican voters that are not Trump fanatics.
