When the intensifying effect of climate change was brought into the news coverage of Hurricane Harvey, some conservatives objected. They said it was horrid that the “liberal media” was politicizing a disaster that had upended so many people’s lives. Now, the same complaints will probably be raised in the wake of Hurricane Irma.
Well, the climate change issue definitely has been politicized, but most of that exploitation for political purposes has been done by the fossil fuel industries, their mouthpieces in the right-wing media and their minions among Republican elected officials.
Climate change deniers from President Trump to Rush Limbaugh to Florida Gov. Rick Scott choose to believe that climate science is some kind of evil plot concocted by the Chinese or by a cabal of nefarious researchers in lab coats who are trying to subvert capitalism, Christianity and Mom’s apple pie.
Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, Alex Jones and other opinionated entertainers on the right push the narrative that acting to mitigate the human causes of climate change by switching to alternative energy sources would bring the American economy crashing down.
Nevertheless, even in Florida, where, in the not-too-distant future, beach communities will be inundated by the ocean, developers are allowed to continue building along doomed shorelines while the governor has ordered state officials and researchers not to use the terms global warming and climate change. And, in the nation’s capital, the Trump administration is very busy killing an array of federal programs that either gather scientific data about the global warming phenomenon or make plans to deal with the looming problems that the climate shift will bring.
That is what it means to politicize an issue.

Global Warming declared that there would be a huge increase in the number of hurricanes.
Hurricanes obeyed and promptly stopped for around a decade.

Yup, some 12 years or so of mild weather without hurricanes, the hurricanes sure didn't listen to stupid Al Gore by taking a long holiday. What's going on now is natural, and nothing to do with the fake global warming theories. They should take a look at the Sun, which has spouted off a few sunbursts at Earth recently; maybe it's the Sun causing hurricanes!
One month ago this Hurricane was a complete unknown.
How the hell can they tell us they are able to predict weather patterns 80 years from now?
How do they explain Irma’s weakening if they waters were “so warm”?

Wait a minute. Which side is advocating for more wealth confiscation and which side is trying to keep their own earnings? So those who are trying to retain their own earnings and livelihoods are the ones that are politicizing "Climate Change"? Really?
Let's break this down for the ignorant. There is a powerful movement of media, politicians, bureaucrats and wealthy business folks that are petitioning government to enact laws that will confiscate earnings from Americans and give it to other people (after paying themselves), through various means. The reason that they claim this transfer of wealth should happen is because humans are causing the planet to get hotter. How are the two issues related? They aren't! What is the vehicle for their ruse? Politicians and media? Who is politicizing what?
Again, the intelligent people that actually research the so called "science" are simply trying to defend themselves and their fellow citizens from the aggressive confiscatory tyranny of the accusers.
One side screams 90%!!!!! THEY ALL AGREE!!!!! The other side says, "Who agrees?" "What exactly do they agree on?" "How does this science work?" "Where is the repeatable experiment that proves a theory empirically?"
Who politicizes what again? Give me a break, Holier-than- though-chest-thumper!
