Steven King is man who is very seriously rich, in an extremely poor area of the state. He does an incredible amount of good with his money - most of it anonymously (millions from an "anonymous benefactor" for the public library? Sure, could be anyone in the phone book....)
For these things he should be commended.
His politics, however, are atrocious. I'm not sure that he could get elected in Northern Maine. Pretty conservative folk up there.
