UNC students threaten federal lawsuit over Confederate statue

Students are threatening to sue the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill for violating the Civil Rights Act of 1964 if it does not remove a Confederate statue from campus. According to The Daily Tar Heel, an attorney from the New York law firm Boies, Schiller & Flexner—known for representing Vice President Al Gore in the Bush v. Gore Supreme Court case—made the threat Wednesday in a letter sent to Chancellor Carol Folt, the UNC-Chapel Hill Board of Trustees, UNC President Margaret Spellings, and the UNC Board of Governors on behalf of the UNC Black Law Students Association (BLSA), its faculty advisor Erika Wilson, and 12 other student leaders.

So, I guess they would agree then that Federal law overrides state and local laws with respect to immigration as well then?

There are Junipero missionary statues being vandalized in California, a Francis Scott Key statue defaced this week, demands to remove Woodrow Wilson’s statue and name, a Joan of Arc statue painted on. Christopher Columbus statues in New York are being defaced, and Italians in NYC are protesting to keep the statue in Columbus square.
These liberal bullies want nothing less than the Great Leap Forward or fundamentalist Islam - all signs of history contrary to their totalitarian regime glorified erased.

Its time we pull the sheets out from under the anointed Martin Luther King, Jr. If a moral code that wasn’t against the law is reason to remove the statues the MLK, Jr. criminal plagiarism and adultery should be more than enough to remove a man of the cloth’s honor.
