Who is that?
I rode with my father, son, Thompson and Hal Heflen in a car on the subway between the Senate building and the Capitol once. The cars are small with three seats facing each other.
My son was 9 years old and had a wallet on a chain. Thompson asked him about it and my son pulled it out and opened it. Thompson reached his hand out to cover it and said “son, let this be a lesson for you. ~Never~ open your wallet in front of a democrat.”
We all howled including Heflen.
