It is an iron clad certainty that a 30 year old vacuum doesn’t come near the suction and cleaning power of a modern vacuum and certainly not even near a dyson

When we last needed a new vacuum, the Oreck was being flogged around here, so we bought one. It is now 14 years old, I despise it for no one particular reason, but it will not die. In fact, it hasn’t even shown any signs of weakening.
