Don’t like hearing about tremors down that way. Not wild about them in general, but particularly not headed toward Cape Girardeau and Reelfoot Lake. I guess I could take it as a positive meaning pressure is being released from the fault.
I don’t believe this Southern Illinois fault is connected to the New Madrid fault. The epicenter of this quake and the larger one that occurred a few years ago is right across the Wabash River near Vincennes, Indiana.
