Mueller Seeks White House Documents Related to Trump’s Actions as President
The New York Times ^ | September 20, 2017 | Michael S. Schmidt

Posted on 09/20/2017 12:00:34 PM PDT by Alter Kaker

WASHINGTON — Robert S. Mueller III, the special counsel, has asked the White House for documents about some of President Trump’s most scrutinized actions since taking office, including the firing of his national security adviser and F.B.I. director, according to White House officials.

Mr. Mueller is also interested in an Oval Office meeting Mr. Trump had with Russian officials in which he said the dismissal of the F.B.I. director had relieved “great pressure” on him.

The document requests provide the most details to date about the breadth of Mr. Mueller’s investigation, and show that several aspects of his inquiry are focused squarely on Mr. Trump’s behavior in the White House.

In recent weeks, Mr. Mueller’s office sent a document to the White House that detailed 13 different areas that investigators want more information about. Since then, administration lawyers have been scouring White House emails and asking officials whether they have other documents or notes that may pertain to Mr. Mueller’s requests.

One of the requests is about a meeting Mr. Trump had in May with Russian officials in the Oval Office the day after James B. Comey, the F.B. I director, was fired. That day, Mr. Trump met with the Russian foreign minister, Sergey V. Lavrov, and the Russian ambassador to the United States, Sergey I. Kislyak, along with other Russian officials. The New York Times reported that in the meeting Mr. Trump said that firing Mr. Comey relieved “great pressure” on him.

When Trump has good weeks politically they are always followed by stories of Russia, Russia, Russia.

“Fire him”

Mueller’s purpose is to be fired. Getting Mueller fired is an essential component of the Ryan (Romney) and McConnell (Bush) plan to get rid of Trump.

And the recuser watches in silence.

I keep thinking that someone at DOJ will put a stop on this crazy Mueller fishing expedition, but nothing happens. So many bad choices for Cabinet.....

It’s time.

Time to call it what it really is.

It’s NOT an investigation.

It’s an INQUISITION.

The Mueller Inquisition.

Please Rush, Hannity, Laura and all other honest commentators, from now on, ...

Call it what it is, ...

The Mueller INQUISITION.

So, this ahole Democrat/establishment prick thinks he’s going to maneuver our Executive Branch into a position they can’t do a damned thing without the explicit approval of the Mueller committee!?

A lot of arrogance, and a lot of establishment bullshit involved in this contrived Special Counsel.

This SC should be disbanded immediately, and that is probably their goal as they haven’t a damned thing to charge DJT, and by being so damned outrageous, getting themselves fired would then morph into another phase of ranting, screaming Democrat three ring circus always to make the Republicans, and DJT look bad. That after all is their goal.

“The New York Times reported that in the meeting Mr. Trump said that firing Mr. Comey relieved “great pressure” on him.”

So Mueller’s months long investigation (where he’s hired several high priced lawyers) is so desperate now that they are going to use a NYT article that’s probably fake to try to find something to pin on Trump? -Shaking my head and adding a face palm-

No FBI or prosecutor has a right to demand the Whote House produce a thing for them...period. The constitution does not provide for this whatsoever.

The FBI isn’t a 4th branch of government.

When Mueller was appointed, was there any parameters set on what he could investigate?

It seems to me that he was supposed to investigate alleged collusion regarding the 2016 presidential election. By definition, that activity happened before Trump became president.

It would be nice to see Trump take the offensive against this.

Executive Privilege!

And in so doing, he can cite Obama's actions as precedent.

Correct. If Mueller had any possible chance at being relevant or harmful to Trump - he'd have acted months ago.  Throwing Mueller into that briar patch (firing him) would be the wrong approach.

“Shut Mueller down.”

Start firing AGs until you find one that will fire Mueller.

Congress won’t do JACK about it. They are gutless pieces of sh!t.
