The only reason a special prosecutor is even possible is that establishment Republicans do not support their own President. Democrats don’t have the majority in either House or Senate. There is no way possible for some kangaroo court of a cooked up impeachment on the basis of fictional offenses purportedly committed prior to taking office to hold, if it weren’t for Mitch McConnell, Paul Ryan and crew. Mueller needs to be fired, he’s wandered far beyond the scope of the investigation and turned it into a political witch hunt against his own executive, with no possibility of political support outside of Republicans turning on Trump. Trump should throw down the gauntlet and be done with this, or endure this stupidity for the remainder of his term in office because they’re absolutely not going to stop, evidence or the lack of it be damned. They’re casting about for a Scooter Libby perjury trap at best, at the moment.

That is why “we” (I don’t know what to call “us,” people who choose to vote Republican) were stupid the past election to be rah rah for the R team. FReepers knew this, but so many talking heads so identify with the sports theme, and still say “us” for Republicans on the air. NO. THEY ARE NOT US.

We do need a new category (not necessarily a new party). We need to call ourselves something like Trumpists for clarity only. We aren’t slaves of the President’s personality. We are supporters of the Trump agenda as laid out in his campaign and current speeches.

If we could gain clarity by understand whom we support, we could let go of the attachment to the paid off whores in Congress or the admin who call themselves Republicans. They are surely not us.
