Was Samantha Power illegally spying for Obama?

With little need for intelligence reports to do her job, former Obama United Nations ambassador Samantha Power had an abnormally ravenous appetite for spying, especially when it came to Americans.

According to Fox News:

Samantha Power, the former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, was 'unmasking' at such a rapid pace in the final months of the Obama administration that she averaged more than one request for every working day in 2016 – and even sought information in the days leading up to President Trump’s inauguration, multiple sources close to the matter told Fox News.

Two sources, who were not authorized to speak on the record, said the requests to identify Americans whose names surfaced in foreign intelligence reporting, known as unmasking, exceeded 260 last year. One source indicated this occurred in the final days of the Obama White House.

It's baffling stuff, because it was so unprecedented. To request the unmasking of an American is supposed to be done only in exceptional circumstances, given the potential for Stasi-like abuse of power. Power made it her daily preoccupation even as she was supposed to be doing her United Nations job.

That raises questions of what it was for. Apparently, it was the Trump campaign she was spying on. Yet she never came off as a typical slimy political operative such as was commonly seen hanging around the Obama administration. Sure, she was a troglodyte lefty, but she never came off as a campaign expert.

“Was Samantha Power illegally spying for Obama?”

Who else could she possibly have been spying for?

Obama is dirty. Anyone familiar with his political career in Chicago knows what he is capable of. He never changed, he just moved it to a bigger scale.

"...she (Samantha Power) never came off as a typical slimy political operative such as was commonly seen hanging around the Obama administration."

Really? Even though she was one of the top 5 liars of the Obama years.

She had no business asking for ANY unmasking on anybody.
So, the only reason she would request unmasking was for political
purposes.
She should go to jail, if we lived in an equal justice under the law
country. But we don’t.

Much ado about nothing! If Trump/Sessionswill not prosecute then the matter goes away.

Your rants on Sessions gets pretty old. You don’t know what he is doing. The MSM cannot tell you and that just doesn’t work, does it?

If you don’t like my rants, pass on them. So far I am well ahead in the feedback department. Even got an acknowledgement today on a FReeper who was saying the same as you a few weeks ago.
I received three negative results/reactions on 8/19/17. I stopped posting on that thread. Today’s news brings up the same subject. So what is the argument? Point to something Sessions has done to help Trump. Don’t use the BS that he is not talking about investigations. What is being done. Meanwhile, Mueller is using Rosenstein(sp) as a witness. Rosenstein is Mueller’s boss due to Sessions recusal. Sessions is still Rosenstein’s boss Conflict to Mueller and Rosenstein. Where is the AG?

I prefer to give Sessions the benefit of the doubt and assume that he is doing an investigation but playing his cards close to the vest.

“If Trump/Sessions will not prosecute then the matter goes away.”

By Trump/Sessions ignoring so many crimes by so many people, there is no deterrent for others to commit crimes. Regular people like us couldn’t do 1/100th of what they’ve done and not be behind bars. How is that fair — to have one set of rules for the political elite, and another for the peons?

UN Ambassadors have little or no need for intelligence reports to do the job but Obama's hand-picked UN Amb, Samantha Power, to succeed Susan Rice, had an abnormally ravenous appetite for spying, especially when it came to unmasking Americans.

To request, via the FISA court, the unmasking of an American is supposed to be done only in exceptional circumstances, given the potential for Stasi-like abuse of power implicating an innocent person. Yet, reports show Power made it her daily preoccupation even as she was on the job at the UN.

The failure of the Trump Administration to prosecute crimes by The Swamp will end up with the Trump Administration indistinguishable from a Jeb Bush administration.
