Obviously you folks didn’t actually listen to the speech but are making statements on what was written about it. The key reason that President Trump is supporting Senator Strange is that, when President Trump called him to ask for his vote on the healthcare bills, Luther Strange said, “You have my vote.” All the other Senators that President Trump called who were “nos” wanted something for their vote. So President Trump concluded that Senator Luther Strange is not a swamp creature.

So he thinks the guy...being pushed HARD by all the OTHER swamp creature isn't a swamp creature and is willing to trust him rather than the guy all the swamp creatures (he says he hates that he's now working with) are standing in line and throwing tons of money at to defeat?
Really? You expect me to buy that as the genuine reason rather than the more obvious "a speech writer wrote a good line" possibility? Because the whole "he's not a swamp creature even though all the other swamp creatures love him and hate the real non-swamp creature" argument defies logic.
