Trump endorsed Moore’s opponent about as hardily as he endorsed McCain. Under duress and with his fingers crossed behind his back.

“A pair of new polls on Monday showed Roy Moore beating incumbent Luther Strange by double digits in Tuesdays’s GOP senate runoff in Alabama — despite President Trump’s endorsement of the man he calls “Big Luther.””
If all these polls showing Moore comfortably ahead are borne out in the vote count tonight it will be just one more example that popular politicians (e.g., Trump) often have short coat tails.
In this case (Moore v. Strange), I hope so.
This should be a crucial wake-up call to everybody. It’s not about DJT and a cult of personality. It’s a true measure of how fed up are We The People. The democRATs wont understand because they ate all about personality. The GOPe won’t understand, because they are stupid. No, if DJT was the messiah-light, then his candidate should gain from his support, bigly. I think this is very instructive and shoukd give all pause, from the halls of Congress to the sidelines of the NFL.
Actually he seems to be losing quite well. He will likely be grandly successful .
For Trump, a Moore win is a twofer. He has put an obligation on McConnell and he gets the Conservative candidate.
As the fans and money vanish the NFL will smarten up or die.
I’m pretty sure The Mob doesn’t want to lose that cash cow, and an occasional “accidentally” broken knee will drive that point home...
That is why it doesn’t matter how principled the candidates we choose and how many of them. Once they get to Congress they learn immediately how the world of wealth works and join the Establishment. They do not have to worry about re-election because so long as they play the game they will be be wealthy for life with one term or with ten.If they do not play the game vast amounts of money are put in play to cost them re-election and there are no lucrative sinecures awaiting them.
Saying to put troops on the border is kinda a copout, because he knows that will never happen.
He wins either way.
Like what do some of you think Moore is going to do, vote hard left?
It’s an easy play for Trump. Toss a sop to the RINOs, get a non-Rino in a deep red state that is a lock.

Trump is giving the Turtle one last chance. I am certain he knows Strange is a dead candidate stumbling.
This was ALWAYS going to be the outcome... anyone with just a touch of familiarity with Alabama could have told you this...
The WORST case for Moore, was he only wins by 5-8 points with the more realistic outcome he wins it by double digits.
Trump stumping for Strange, may push it down to the worse case numbers, but Moore was NEVER EVER in any danger of losing this election... He’ll take the general handily as well.
This race was over the day Moore announced.
McConnell, Mr. Big, thinks he can throw enough money at Alabama and boss the election, like he does the Senate, against the Trump (America first) agenda.
How is it good for Trump if he endorses the Loser? In addition, why is he against Roy Moore?

A lot of GOPe/RINOs are going to find themselves PRIMARIED, this was going to happen no matter what... The people are fed up.
Trump isn’t against Moore, don’t believe that for one second.... Trump will happily be stumping for Moore as soon as he’s the nominee... He’s by far a more reliable ally for MAGA than any McConnell shill will ever be.
Lurch Strange has never led in any poll at any time. If he wins the race would have to be rigged. End of story.
Gun Owners of America endorsed Moore. The NRA endorsed Strange because McConnell’s super PAC gave the big time money.
