Poll shows Trump-endorsed Senate candidate losing badly

A pair of new polls on Monday showed Roy Moore beating incumbent Luther Strange by double digits in Tuesdays’s GOP senate runoff in Alabama — despite President Trump’s endorsement of the man he calls “Big Luther.”

The first survey, conducted by the Trafalgar Group during the two days after Trump’s raucous rally for Strange on Friday — showed the arch-conservative leading by 16 points, 56 to 40.

The second, commissioned by Cygnal, an Alabama-based research firm, was also conducted after Trump’s visit to Huntsville, showed Moore leading 52 to 41.

Looking good for Moore and Trump. If Moore really crushes Strange Luther, it will put the fear of God into the Senate GOPe and just might shake the votes necessary o RYR ObolaCare loose.

Congress fears nothing about the America voter. They know if they lose they have lucrative jobs waiting for them because of the favors they have done.

“...it will put the fear of God into the Senate GOPe...”

Why would it, Moore don’t even want the border wall.

Other than Moore being an ultra-conservative, which I want for sure, how will this benefit Trump? I love the way Trump plays everyone, I keep thinking that he’s backing the incumbent but really is for the other guy. He definitely keeps them all guessing and I love it.

From his campaign website:

We must allow willing states (like Arizona) to protect the health, safety, and welfare of their citizens, and use our own military to protect our border. If a wall is our only option, then we should build it immediately.

Moore is willing to get one built which is good enough for me. And he won’t be beholden to McConnell.

No Trump bump for Mitch’s Stooge. Moore opens up a 16 pt lead. White House, GOP Establishment Fear Crushing Alabama Defeat. They fear a Constitutional Bible Loving Judge in the RINO congress.

“could trigger a wave of primary challenges against incumbent Republicans,” Alex Isenstadt reports in Politico.

“could trigger a wave of primary challenges against incumbent Republicans,” Alex Isenstadt reports in Politico.

In an effort to stave off Moore’s poll momentum, the establishment has “launched a coordinated, scorched-earth campaign” to defeat him.

I would suggest not using Leftist / Establishment labels. Why call Judge Moore an “ultra” conservative when we never see Leftists slapped with an extremist label like that?

Judge Moore is a West Point graduate, Army veteran and of course an attorney. How crazy does that make him sound?

Anyway, putting an anti-McConnell Republican in the Senate helps Trump by putting more pressure on the Turtle to perform. Plus it would inspire conservatives by signaling that they can be elected despite opposition from the out-of-state big money RINO crowd.

Oh yeah....Moore said he wants the wall during the debate with Strange last week and while the details of paying for it and building it are worked out, the Army should be deployed to the southern border.

The GOPe smear campaign has been nasty with ads saying Moore is “soft on guns”.

Moore said last night he doesn’t know what “soft on guns” means put produced a pistol to display in front of the audience and reminded everyone that he believes that ‘people kill people, not guns’.

Moore also reminded people he learned how to use guns and went to Vietnam to use them after he graduated from West Point.

Above any thing Judge Moore puts the US CONSTITUTION first and then the Bible. A few less LBGT supporters in congress with their unconstitutional LBGT support would be welcomed. They fear MORE LIKE JUDGE MOORE will challenge the RINOS.

We need to be on the lookout for massive fraud today here in Alabama. Already this morning polling places in Montgomery were sent the wrong books for their precinct and are having to take provisional ballots from everyone as they cannot verify voter registration.

Election officials are saying the problem will be corrected within the next hour and books are being transported to the correct locations.

““Other than Moore being an ultra-conservative, which I want for sure, how will this benefit Trump?””

Trump negotiated with the Establishment. His endorsement of “Big Lou” came in exchange for something that appears the Establishment hasn’t lived up to. I think McCain threw a monkey wrench into the works to make sure Trump lived up to his end of the bargain.

Moore is on record as having a repeal without replace stance. I would expect he would be with Rand Paul on this one.

Trump entered into a deal with the Devil on this one and can’t extricate himself, and the Devil, as he always does, has gone back on his part of the bargain. I hope Trump learns from this episode.

I don’t think Strange’s endorsement from Trump is what is hurting him...I think it’s how hard McConnell, and the RINO gang, is working to get him elected.

Trump may be playing ju-jitsu with the RINOs, using their own weight against them.

Br’er Trump done be raised in the brier patch.

All Freepers should enjoy the spectacle of the lib’s and anti-Trumpers in the old legacy media hoping a “West Point Military Academy” (LOL) graduate and true conservative wins a Senate seat. It’s rich with irony!

That's fine with me. Let them continue their disdain out of the halls of Congress. They can look down their noses at the hoi polloi and enjoy their $300 chardonnay and French brie. They just won't be in power any more.
