Minors means what?? 6 or 16?
That is a good question. Huge difference between a 16 and 20 year old and a 50 and 6 year old.
That is my question.
There are plenty of 15 or 16 year old’s who for all intents and purposes, live the life of an adult, and make most of their own decisions. I would never say the same thing about child in primary school. Let’s not use this notion to justify anything NAMBLA related.
Well,... just how young do you want your son to be when he gets popped by the man next door?
18 remains a good number.
Lets not make it open season on our children or youth.
I’m trying to clarify a couple of things about this story to at least some of the people who responded to this thread.
First, the psychologist responsible for these studies is named Bruce Rind.
A Christian sociologist from Texas, Mark Regnerus, is someone warning about Rind’s new studies and how there isn’t an outcry over them as there was 20 years ago.
This story, too, actually comes from the Christian Post. What was probably confusing, though, was the combination of a pretty bad headline by the Christian Post and my need to shorten it here.
The original headline (which I included in comment 1):
“Studies Suggest There Is No Long-Term Harm on Minors Who Have Sex With Adults; Christian Sociologist Responds”
