well he should call Goodell and state that the league and its owners and its hired players continue to besmirch our great county then perhaps they do not need our men in uniform to fancy up their hell...

why should our soldiers be forced to take part in this farce?

Can’t imagine Vince Lombardi putting up with it. I wonder about Tom Landry or Jimmy Johnson. Everything has changed so much it’s hard to say.

I'm pretty sure my favorite NFL coach, George Allen of the old Los Angeles Rams, would have booted from the team anyone who dissed our flag.

Time to remove the tax exempt and monopoly status of the NFL.
What you’re seeing is classical monopoly behavior, complete contempt for your customer because where else can the customer go to get a similar product. No where that’s where!

Tax’em! Take away monopoly status, no more sweetheart stadium deals at the expense of the public. Allow other pro leagues to form and give them competition. Costs will go down, maybe someone will figure out a way to do a rule change that reduces CBE to say that of hockey.

Owners are more afraid of the NFLPA going on strike, and having years or repercussions, than of short term fan unrest.

Coach Landry flew B-17 bomber missions over Europe. I also can't see him putting up with this.

I knew exactly what he was doing by trying to keep that team off the field. He wanted them to avoid having to make the choice in public, to either kneel or stand. He wanted to avoid the politics of it. Admirable.

Seems like an easy choice

Meanwhile, “President Donald Trump ramped up with his fight with the National Football League on Tuesday, calling on the popular league to ban players from kneeling in protest at games while the U.S. national anthem is played. ‘The NFL has all sorts of rules and regulations. The only way out for them is to set a rule that you can’t kneel during our National Anthem!’ Trump wrote on Twitter. …

I done think it’s going to be short term. The NFL is going to double down on virtue signaling and not have a clue why revenues are shrinking.

No worries, Rush, just wait for the NFL fire sale.

You may be an owner yet.

Lombardi knew one of his players was gay, and forbid the rest of the team from harrssing the guy for it. So that meme would be bogus.

“Coach Landry flew B-17 bomber missions over Europe. I also can’t see him putting up with this.”

A lot of veterans have had NFL careers.

Art (Fatso) Donovan served in the Pacific during WW2

Sid Luckman landed at Normandy.

George Halas, WW2, 7th fleet.

Eddie LaBaron, Korea.

Chuck Bednarick, WW2, crewed a B-24.

Rocky Bleir, Vietnam, infantry.

George McAfee, WW2.

Ralph Wilson, WW2, founded the Buffalo Bills, helped with AFL/NFL merger.

Roger Staubach, Vietnam.

PAT TILLMAN!!!!! Walked away from a multimillion dollar contract to serve in the army, killed by “friendly fire”.

And that is just a very short list.

HOLTZ: I would say to our football team, “We will not use our football team for any personal cause.” I feel the same thing about the NFL. This is about the ability to win. I wish that President Trump would put me in charge and get the athletes to go into the inner high schools

God bless Lou Holtz!! This man is a national treasure.

The story behind the story is that likely all this horrible controversy was initially caused by a radical Muslim woman. What would the USA think about this if this gets out like it should?
