John McCain put his personal feelings about Trump ahead of the good of the nation, his constituents and his political party to completely renege on his long-standing, long-stated goal of repealing Obamacare. Stripped of all his words, his actions are those of a politician who put personal spite ahead of any stated principle.
McCain should have left the Senate some 20 years ago. He is very funny, quick on his feet, likes attention, and would have enjoyed doing the guest gig thing on cable TV news shows.
